The luxury tower of Melbourne’s riverside entertainment complex. Big rooms, a well-regarded spa and some of the city’s best restaurants a lift ride away.

What the floor tells us

Crown Towers is the flagship hotel of the Crown Melbourne complex, which stretches along the south bank of the Yarra River. Opened in the late 1990s, it gives you direct access to the casino while keeping the hotel itself calm and private.

Rooms are spacious, with views across the river to the city or out towards Port Phillip Bay. The spa and indoor pool are among the best in the city, and worth building a slow morning around.

The casino is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, with tables, gaming machines and a busy poker room. On the riverfront outside, the gas towers along the promenade light up after dark.

Food is a strength here. Several of Melbourne’s best-known restaurants sit inside the complex, and the Southbank promenade puts dozens more within a short walk.
